Introduction to the World Wide Web

Kim Taipale | kat@ilt.columbia.edu
Guest Lecture Spring 95

This page provides easy access to selected Internet resources and is provided by the Institute for Learning Technologies at Columbia University. In addition to the resources listed here and other projects described on ILTweb, the Institute is connecting the information resources and expertise of Columbia University and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) with students and teachers in the Harlem Economic Empowerment Zone through the Harlem Environmental Access Project.

New users of the Internet should consult New User's Questions and What is the Internet?. New users of the World Wide Web should consult Entering the WWW: A Guide to Cyberspace by Kevin Hughes (EIT). New users of Mosaic should consult the Mosaic Tutorial. Of course, we recommend the Netscape browser.

More information about the Internet can be found through the ILTguide to Information about the Internet.

ILTweb provides a number of other guides (ILTguides) and pointers to interesting sites on the Web (Hot Spots). Including the ILTguide to Environmental Resources. And, through the Search page, ILTweb provides access to all the major search engines on the Web.
