  • Finding the Right Medium: Identifying the attribute of a medium that addresses a specific, well defined learning problem
  • The Impact of Telecommunications on Education

  • Personal web page construction Each student will construct a succint personal web page, accessible on the INTERNET. This will be done with the help of the instructor or instructors. and will be due the second lesson of the second week (July 18).
  • Evaluative essay Each individual will write one evaluative essay on problems connected with web sites or with using the INTERNET for global and local collaboration. (3 to 5 pages). This will be focused on a partiuclar topic or example speicfied in class. Due the end of the final week. This essay must begin with a one paragraph abstract.
  • Team web site proposal Each team will outline a larger web site for solution of one of the specific set problems: (1) rubbish or (2) art. This will be due the last lesson and will be presented then in class and turned in on paper or on the web. (August 1). As a paper, this should be no more than 5 pages and must include a one paragraph abstract.
  • Internet Search Each individual is required to complete all ten tasks and email results to Thane Terrill.

    Introduction to the use and educational implications of telecommunications, distance learning, and collaborative interchange using telecommunications.
