Final Team Project for TU4022

The final project will be closely linked to your evaluative essay, thus capitalizing on the work done there. The focus will be on the global curriculum web site, a site everyone has already been browsing, thus further cutting down on new things needed before the assignment can be undertaken. Each team should pool their research from the evaluative essay and come up with a joint recommendation for completing the feedback and collaboration segment of the global curriculum site. This means drafting a proposal for what is to be included in that web site to facilitate collaboration and communication between the various parties who should be using it, for the various purposes they may have. To do this well, you must consider the various means you and your teammates encountered and examined in preparing your evaluative essays.

The various parties involved should include at least: (1) experts on the topics involved in the curriculum units, (2) teachers involved in teaching and helping to develop the units, (3) teacher trainers at places like TC who are involved in overseeing and monitoring the use of curriculum units, and (4) students who will be studying the units and also helping to elaborate and develop them.

The various purposes of these parties will include at least (1) commenting on progress and on materials involved, (2) receiving new materials and units, (3) working together on materials and ideas relevant to developing new or modifying existing curriculum units, (4) class to class communication among students strictly about the material or about it's study, (5) teacher to teacher communication about teaching (coaching the students through) the material and procedures and (6) expert to all and all to expert communication about the units and the studying of them.

The various means your team recommends for, or against, should include at least :(1) email, (2) newsgroups and the like, (3) teleconferencing and chatting over the INTERNET, and (4) any other means you identify and can convincingly argue would support the global curriculum goals.

There should be three people to a team, and the assignment is due the last day of class, August 1.
