    ||| Go to ILTweb Home | HotSpots |||

OPPORTUNITY: LiveText is a complete resource for K-12 schoolteachers and administrators. Interns are needed to update pages, review/add/remove sites, even propose reorganization of the resources. Write to Bram if interested.

  • AHA! The American History Archive Project.

OPPORTUNITY: This year, AHA will likely developed for use at the School for the Physical City and possibly with other schools, with an emphasis on Native American history and culture. Interns interested in finding and digitizing resources would be well appreciated. Write to Bram if interested.

  • HEAP Harlem Environmental Access Project. OPPORTUNITY: Because we're working with five schools and a library, there will be many opportunities to work with schools on technology installation and project development. Current activities include:
  • Assisting Shawn in pulling cable and building school LANs, connecting them to the Internet through T1 lines,
  • Assisting Bram in the development of a Web- and Hypercard-based application called EcoSim, a simulated ecosystem customized for each school, and
  • Assisting Djvonne in working with classes at specific schools in support of developing activities there.

  • Other Resources of Interest:

    From Now On
(McKenzie, Pacificrim.net) An educational journal devoted to technology-related issues, from the reflective author of "Grazing the Net".

    WWWEDU Mail Index
(CNIDR) An archive of postings from this list concerning the use of the World Wide Web in education. A very informative, high activity list.
The MUD/MUSH/MOO Catalog of Catalogs...New Link
(Kent State) A page of links to "real time interaction" sites, from the Graduate School of Education's unambitious K-12 server.
    Boardwatch (Boardwatch Magazine).
