COMPUTER MEDIATED COMMUNICATION PROJECT

The Representation of Colleges and Universities on the WWW

COLLECTING DATA: To gather information for our project, we need to visit all of the WWW sites of colleges and universities. The "American Universities" site produced and maintained by Christina DeMello at MIT is the list of institutions we have decided to use, as it is the most comprehensive to date (March 1995). Attached you will find a list of colleges that you need to visit. The following key will assist you with gathering the information from each site in a quick, efficient manner. We've estimated spending between 3 - 5 minutes at each site. If the information isn't readily available, don't spend a lot of time looking for it within the site. In order to complete our project in a timely manner, it is necessary for us to complete this data-gathering stage ASAP.

on a separate sheet of paper.
