The Colloquium will meet on a number of those Thursdays this term when the Core Seminar is not meeting. It will focus on presentations by students preparing their proposals or their theses for defense, and, as in the past will also spend time practicing appropriate skills such as the writing of abstracts .

Maureen Hogan is back from Jerusalem and will make a presentation about her work there, to fill you in on what we learned by examinging her proposal last term.
Tom Brennan will give us a brief proposal about distance learning that he is preparing, for his thesis work now.
Ilia Laborde , whom some of you will remember, will make a remote presentation on her work in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. She is changing the focus of her professional work (at least in part) from running a technology center for the University of Puerto Rico, to establishing a model technology implementation in schools, and will focus on the school in Aibonito where her thesis work is underway. She will make the presentation from Puerto Rico, either live or by email, something which is yet to be worked out.
Finally, one or more of you will again make presentations, sketching out your progress.
You should consult this site regularly to learn of schedule changes, presentations, and so forth. Moreover, some of the assignments will involve your using email to communicate with each other, as well as with me.

The schedule will appear for the first time by the end of the week of February 5, but will be subject to change. We will meet on the Thursdays when the Core Seminar is NOT meeting, but not necessarily all of those alternate Thursdays.
