The Distance Learning Project office at Teachers College (http://dlp.tc.columbia.edu) needs talented people on an ongoing basis for the design and development of online courses, workshops, professional development programs and other multimedia projects.

Functional areas include designing websites and databases, the capturing, editing and streaming of video and audio, and the application of instructional design strategies and media enhancement to online offerings.

Knowledge or skills of some of the following will be favored: Blackboard, Prometheus or other course management systems; instructional strategies; html, HomeSite, Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Director, Premiere, java script, java and network security.

The internship will provide interested students with the opportunities of researching, learning and applying various knowledge and skills in online learning environments. The internship can be done on a voluntary basis or, with the involvement of a faculty member, can be taken for 1-3 credits (5-15 hours). Other benefits may follow with experience.
