third
The first moral consequence of the physical constitution of the sexes is that one should be active and strong, the othe passive and weak (para1254 above). The second is the requirement of modesty on the part of the woman (in para1259 above). The third is that while men may appear to be in control of the sex act, in fact they are dependent on women for the satisfaction of their passions. Women are in charge because it is their charms (including modesty) that provoke the male's arousal.
