Helena Connolly

Helena is a PhD student in Cognitive Science in Education. Her research interests include ill-structured problem solving, productive failure, cognitive apprenticeship, motivation and educational technology. Helena’s current work involves developing an intelligent tutoring system to help students solve open-ended problems. Before starting her PhD, Helena taught for 3 years in a high needs elementary school in New Haven, CT. Prior to working in education, Helena did private sector consulting and management at a biotech company. Helena has an BS in Industrial Engineering.
