Ning is a doctoral student in Cognitive Studies in Education. Her research focuses on learning technologies within the spectrum of embodied cognition, and user experience of technology products from a human computer interaction perspective.

Teaching pre-k and first grade kids coding in Java with IPAD apps called Scratch Junior
Examining whether embodied cognition activities assist computational skills, specifically debugging skills by having kids first acting out (direct embodiment) or observing someone else acting the coded scenario (surrogate embodiment) and then fix pre-programed coding bugs.
