Tiantian Jin is a doctoral student in Cognitive Studies in Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds a MSE in Educational Psychology from Fordham University. Tiantian’s research interests include: (1) Cognition, especially the grounded/embodied approach and its application to improving leaning, memory, understanding and problem solving. (2)Transfer in STEM domains. (3)The design of novel instructional methods, especially educational video games and intelligent tutoring systems to teach deep domain principles and improve learning and problem solving. Currently, she’s working on a project developing a instructional system of probability learning. Her present research examines whether consistent context improves students’ probability learning and transfer of problem-solving.
